Built in 1853, the Melbourne Cricket Grounds is Australia's number one stadium and is the birthplace of Australian Football and Test Cricket. Complete with a strong sporting history, this venue holds more than 80 events annually. Four million people flock to this location to watch Test matches and AFL (Australian Football League) Grand Finals. It's also been a top place to see major musical greats like Madonna, the Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson. Even Pope John Paul II held a mass on the grounds!
